Frederick Porteous Henry was born on 21 July 1844 in Middlesex County, N.J. He married Josephine B. Nancrede of Philadelphia, Pa., on 24 November 1869. He died in Philadelphia on 24 May 1919. He received his M.D. in 1868 from the College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York and moved to Philadelphia to set up private practice. Henry held the position of Physician to Episcopal Hospital (1874-1888) and Philadelphia General Hospital (1888-1918), as well as Consulting Physician to Woman's Medical Ho...
